Who We Are
We are a specialized dressage barn, who provide top quality service to clients and horses. |
Mussennist Dressage was found in 2009 by Savannah Rijk. We started out small with only a few horses and ponies at home on the farm. We have, since then, grown to a full size facility which includes: 18 stalls, a large indoor riding arena, Olympic size outdoor ring, sand paddocks and grass paddocks.

About Savannah Rijk
Savannah's passion for horses started at a very young age. At the age of 2 she walked on a horse by herself and at the age of 4 she got her first pony. By the age of 7 she started showing and as a teenager she decided to become a dressage rider with dreams of going to the Olympics one day.
Savannah has trained with some of the best Grand Prix trainers in The Netherlands, such as, Diederik van Silfhout, Margo Timmermans and Leunus van Lieren. When her family moved to Canada in 2006, Savannah brought over her young Rubinstein mare, Ulita O. The combination competed at the FEI Juniors level and trained up to the PSG before she was sold to the US.
In Canada, Savannah trained with multiple trainers from different disciplines to learn different approaches. When she was done high school she became a working student for Australian Grand Prix rider Karin Davis and the year after that she started working for Von Martels Dressage Inc.
In 2016 Savannah build her own facility at the home farm. We went from a 8 stall barn with outdoor arena and added 10 stall barn with large indoor arena, grass paddocks, sand paddocks and lunging ring. Since then Savannah has been growing our sales and training program. With her up and coming stallion Vivaldi Royal vdB she is aiming for the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
